Working Group 8 Processing

The Working Group (WG 8) Chair conducts WG 8 Processing after receiving a request from either the SPS Secretary or the SPS Chair / Vice Chair. When the WG 8 Chair receives a certification request for processing, as a first step the WG 8 Chair should check to make sure the request has an Interdepartmental Radio Advisory Committee (IRAC) number. If the request does not have an IRAC number, prior to processing the SPS Secretary must obtain a number for the request outside of the workflow, through IRACNET.

Complete the following steps to conduct WG 8 processing.

1. Once the WG8 Chair has selected a specific task, the task form instructions should be followed. The WG 8 Chair may generate either a Certification of Spectrum Support or addendum:

2. Review Internal Discussion section comments.
3. Post a comment in the Internal Discussion.
4. Determine whether the request requires an addendum.
   • If the request requires an addendum, upload a draft addendum to the Attachment section and select Addendum to send to the SPS Chair / Vice Chair for review.
   • If the request does not require an addendum, select No Addendum to send the request to the SPS Chair / Vice Chair for the Certification of Spectrum Support Review.
