Accessing Online Help

The EL-CID Online help menu is accessible from the Requests dashboard (i.e., the main screen of the workflow), where it is located in the upper-right corner:

When selected, the help menu opens as a separate tab in the browser. It is highly recommended that the help menu be opened as soon as the user logs into the EL-CID workflow. The help menu tab should then be kept open throughout the duration of the user’s workflow visit, so that work screens do not need to be exited to access help content.

Browser Compatibility

EL-CID Online and the EL-CID Online Help Manual support the following browsers:

  • Vendor supported versions of Chrome
  • Vendor supported versions of Firefox
  • Vendor supported versions of the new Chromium-based Edge browser

Other browsers, such as Internet Explorer may function, but there is no guarantee that all the features will work properly.

If browsers block EL-CID Online components, pop-up blockers must be disabled. Clear directions for disabling pop-up blocking for your specific browser can usually be obtained through a simple Google search.

Adjusting the Screen Size

The EL-CID Online workflow application supports multi-monitor arrangements by responsively adapting to different screen sizes. For example, a user may wish to open EL-CID Online on their laptop, and then view the display on a separate monitor screen.

After moving the application between screens, select your browser’s refresh button Refresh Button to ensure that EL-CID Online adjusts responsively.

Do not use your browser's back/forward buttons to navigate the EL-CID Online environment. Doing so may cause you to be logged out of the application.
